ABOUT THE USED
The Used is an American rock band from Orem, Utah.
formed in 2000 by Bert McCracken [vocalist], Branden Steineckert [Drummer], Quinn Allman [Guitarist] and Jeph Howard [bassist].
Branden and Quinn have since left the band
[ðŸ˜ðŸ˜]and have been replaced with new members but we'll talk about that later..
The Used have released 9 studio albums, 2 Live albums, 1 compilation album, 27 music videos, 3 EPS and 20 singles. sooo cool!! :D
Many of their albums have achieved gold and platinum statuses in countries worldwide!!

HISTORY!!!!!
Prior forming The Used, the members were involved in other bands, but would later end up in the same band.
3 of the original members of The Used (Jeph, Branden, Quinn) formed a band together called Dumb Luck. Jeph sang the lead vocals however, he found that lead vocals were very difficult to him and went back to bass guitar. The three of them then began looking for a new vocalist.
They held auditions but weren't satisfied with any of the auditions, they would later remember Bert McCracken from his own band and asked him to audition.
Bert was impressed with the material and would write the lyrics to what would become "Maybe Memories". The band really liked it and officially confirmed bert as the band's vocalist.
During the early days of the band, The members suffered from poverty,homelessness, substance abuse and panhandling for change in order to buy food [;_;]. They decided upon the name "Used" after friends claimed they felt "used" when contact with the band members waned as they became more engrossed in the project. The band would later change the band name to "The Used" after it was discovered that a Boston band had already trademarked the name "Used".
The band continued to write songs together and recorded a demo album in Branden's [drummer] bedroom titled "Demos from the Basement". Branden started sending their songs to producer John Feldmann. Upon hearing the song "A Box Full Of Sharp Objects". He flew the band to
his house and helped them to find a record label. The Used would sign to Reprise records in 2002.
The Used's self titled album was recorded in about six weeks in California And London and was released in June of 2002, to a critical acclaim. The singles "The Taste Of Ink", "Buried Myself Alive", "Blue And Yellow" entering the charts and the album being certified platinum. A Compilation album titled "Maybe Memories" that included A DVD was released in july 2003.
In 2004 Bert's Ex-Girlfriend died of a drug overdose while pregnant with his child, their second studio album was thus named "In Love and Death" released as a reference to the tragedy Bert dealt during the recording. The album was released in september of 2004 and received very positive reviews. It spawned three singles; "Take it away, "All That I've Got" and "I Caught Fire". The album has been certified platinum.
In 2006 The Used announced that Branden [drummer] was no longer member of the band, He was later replaced with Dan Whitesides [Drummer] Who is a member of the band to this day. on february of 2007 they would release a live album titled "Berth" which also included a DVD.
Their third album Lies for the Liars was released May 2007. Lies for the Liars charted in the top five in more than seven countries and featured the singles: "The Bird and the Worm" and "Pretty Handsome Awkward." The album has been certified gold.
On May 2008 they released Shallow Believer, an EP containing the Band's B-sides. It was only released digitally.
They would release their Fourth studio album Artwork on August 2009.
In 2011 The Used left Reprise Records, Their record label of ten years and founded their own record label and planned to release their fifth studio album Vulnerable on it. Vulnerable would release March 2012.
The band would release an EP titled "The Ocean of the Sky" july 2013.
Their sixth studio album Imaginary Enemy was released april 2014. The album was greatly influenced by Bert's daughter.
In 2015 it was announced that the guitarist Quinn Allman has parted ways with the band [NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!], Justin Shekoshi would be his replacement but Justin would later [2018] Be replaced with another guitarist, Joey Bradford who remains in the band to this day.
The later releases of the band would be a live album in april 2016 titled "Live and Acoustic at the Palace". Seventh studio album The Canyon, In October 2017. Their 8th studio album Heartwork, in April 2020 and lastly, their 9th and most recent studio album Toxic Positivity, in May 2023. I am sooo tired of writing bye.

Born in 1982. He was raised in a Mormon family with three sisters and one younger brother, He rebelled agaisnt his parents and their Mormon religion, eventually leaving the church.
He dropped out of school at age 16 and left his home.
For some time he was homeless until he found enough money for an apartment.
He can play the piano and the trumpet.
Has been arrested more than once.
In 2007 he was forced to have a vocal chord surgery to remove a node.
Was banned from Canada for 10 years because of "Teensy, eensy misdemeanors" [trespassing].

Born in 1977. Dan started playing drums when he was 14 because his whole family played guitar. He was a big fan of The Used before joining in 2006 and says he is "the luckiest man alive" to be playing with them.

the site no longer exists anymore unfortunately, but on their index page they had The Used's song "Hospital" playing and i was like "Woah! sounds interesting!!" so i decided to listen to this band, the album the song hospital was on AND I LOVED IT!! their song "The Bird And The Worm" made me fall in love!! great song, great album, great band. helloangel, if you're out the somewhere i wanted to let u know.. YOU ARE A REAL ONE!!!!!! thank you!!!
